Flåm --> Bergen, Norway | Day 5

NORWAY IN A NUTSHELL: FLÅM TO BERGEN

The day started out extremely foggy; we had just done a tour of the Fjord by speedboat the day before, and so at first I was convinced that previous swift ride was going to be our only glimpse of the beautiful photo ops and landscapes of the Fjord. Luckily, a couple hours into the ferry ride, the fog slowly started to recede and the towering landscape around us became clear.

The two hour ferry ride from Flåm was a part of the Norway in a Nutshell package. The boat takes passengers from Flåm to Gudvangen, a small village located in a fjord called Nærøyfjorden. In addition to Nærøyfjorden, the cruise also goes through Aurlandsfjord, which is well-known for being Norway's longest fjord.

DOCKED IN GUDVANGEN

There is actually a new, upgraded ferry available for the trip from Flåm to Gudvangen. The new ship is absolutely beautiful, and you can check it out here
